the selfish one!

I’ve been waiting for a very important letter for a month now. It doesn’t seem like is gonna come but I’m not the only one. Millions of mails are being delayed because they are having a strike. A bloody STRIKE!? Yeah…how selfish can they get? Do a freaking strike and let everyone else in the world whom are expecting letters to suffer and wait in agony.

Look….you freaks in the post office of England; tell me what can I do to get my precious mail. Yeah….think hard. There won’t be anything I can do to help it you fuck head. If that’s the bloody case, then go make your boss or your fucking government suffer. NOT ME!!!

Bottom line, you who had made millions of us suffer because of your selfishness have no rights to strike. You are no different from the ones you strike on. If you don’t fucking like the job, get the fuck out you lazy morons.

Mazdaspeed MS-01

As promised earlier on, I was to upload pictures of my new wheels on my car. Made by Rays Engineering and Mazdaspeed this marvelous 2 piece wheels are named as the MS-01. When it was manufactured, the setting of the rims were perfect for the FC3S. Offset, width, diameter and what not. Perhaps a trend in those days for 2-piece. I’m not a big fan of 2 piece rims but in my most honest opinion, I love this set of wheels for it’s perfect fitment to the FCs. No rolling fenders or spacers needed at all.

Originally, the spokes were in gold and the lip is as it is; machined chrome. The previous owner of this set of wheels decided spray the spokes white to compliment his FC brand new white paint. I used to have a similar rims like this. 5 white spokes and chrome machined lip. This would then be the second set of white rims I have. Honestly, I would wanna go with a different color this time around. I’m thinking of having the entire rims matte black. Giving her an aggressive stance and that dirty old school look. Yeah….black will consume the starks by the lip and I’m pretty sure I would like it that way.

Here are the specs of this set of Mazdaspeed MS-01

Manufacturer: Rays Engineering & Mazdaspeed
Front Wheel Size: 17″ x 7″
Rear Wheel Size: 17″ x 8″
Offset: Unfortunately, I can’t be too sure about this. But it clears the FC setup perfectly.

With this set of wheels acquired, I’m now about done with the exterior modification for Saki. One step at a time, it will be completed someday.

Roadside Pasta

Ahh…..pasta! Who doesn’t like it? Few months ago, I read an article somewhere in the internet saying that Pasta’s mens favorite getaway food. Whereas chocolate is women’s favorite getaway food. Is that true? Ahh…..who bloody cares?

Last week we went to a food joint in Kelana Jaya, PJ. Notice I’m not using the word restaurant, cafe or such because this is more like a stall by the road side with some ghetto roof made up to shield the kitchen from rain. We are literally sitting by the road side having pasta. Perhaps the only place that serves pasta in such manner here in Malaysia.

Well, the pasta has been quite famous around this area now. I don’t really enjoy coming here for dinner because I hate to queue up for a sit. But this particular day was an exception. I had that crave for some cheap pasta and I throw the idea out to Pig, Chris and Skinny. They did not hesitate and off, we go to Kelana Jaya!! Known of its reasonable price and super-sized portion of pasta I was indeed salivating through the entire journey.

Here’s a quick peep of a PLATE of Bolognese Meatball Spaghetti Yingpig ordered.

Skinny and I both had Carbonara Meatball Spaghetti each. In my opinion, the meatball is heaven. Is huge and it has mozzarella cheese embedded in it. The carbonara sauce is not too cheesy and hence it was ok to finish up the entire plate of spaghetti. Is a little diluted compare to the authentic Italian recipe. But I reckon this is the perfect pasta for those who has this sudden greediness gushing out in them just before dinner. Talking about greedy……

Just a quick introduction. That girl up there is Skinny’s girlfriend. She is pretty darn tall for a Malaysian girl. Her name is Chris but I call her ‘Piao Jie’. Nope….we’re not blood related. Just a suffix. Hmmmm…..and she’s rather shy in this picture.

That particular pasta she’s having is the Seafood pasta. I must say it looks very appetizing and is extremely large in portion. There are LARGE shrimps and medium shrimps, scallops, oyster and what not. I would have name it the Seafood feasta! Here’s a warning to those we wants to try it but only possess the appetite of a human being – Share it with someone else.

Meatball Pasta – RM15
Seafood Pasta – RM25

I thought the seafood pasta was little steep in price for such environment but I do recognize the generous seafood they have included. They did increase their price over time as I remembered the Meatball pasta to be only priced at RM10. However, everything in Malaysia has increase its prices and I guess is just normal that they did as well. Since I don’t visit them often enough, I figured I could pay for the price once in half a year?

Getting there (Kelana Jaya) :
1. Traveling on LDP from Sunway.
2. Pass by a church on your left and you’ll see a row of shop houses. You’ll see Pathlab and Marco Pizza in that shoplot.
3. Keep to your left and take the first left after the shop houses.
4. Go straight and take a left on the 2nd traffic light. If I’m not mistaken, the first traffic light doesn’t got a left exit.
5. Go straight and you’ll see a black shopping mall like building on your right. That is the old Lim Kok Wing school.
6. Go around it and you’ll see a row of stalls on the street. Walk around and pay attention to pasta. Enjoy! ;)

Morph…..If I take you to this for dinner, I don’t think you’ll be making pasta for the rest of the year anymore. Yeah?

Streamyx – Horrible Service & Support

Indeed, Streamyx is perhaps the fastest ISP here in Malaysia. Since we do not have the luxury to cable, broadband is our best choice here. Streamyx has never been very stable since the beginning. Sometimes we get lag, sometimes we can’t get on the net at all. Restarting the modem is probably the fastest solution to most of our problems. But 2 months ago………(sfx:thunder)…..

We started to have problem sending out emails. It was only affecting our smtp server in the States. By the way, we have been using Hostway to host our website and mail for the longest time. And since we were doing alright with the entire internet connection and could send emails our using personal email account, Hostway seems to be the problem.

There was no going around it. We contacted those guys in the States but they couldn’t give us an answer. We took our laptop and head off to another area using Streamyx as well……..voalaaaaaa….!! We could send our emails just alright. So I called up Streamyx and below is a breakdown of what’s going on.

Week 1 : Connection to SMTP server fail and call to seek for an answer from Streamyx. They claim that everything is alright and that we should check with our domain.

Week 2 : Connection to SMTP server never recovered. Called Streamyx and finally they have admitted that they are working on a certain upgrade. Claimed that a good number of Streamyx IP has been blocked my a good number of servers. Ours has been affected and it is affected by area. Proving that we could still send out good emails with large attachments at other place, except in the office (Bandar Sri Damansara).

Week 3 : Connection to SMTP server still bad. Called Streamyx and they say they are working on it. Some customer service doesn’t even know what’s going on. Streamyx seems to me more confused than us.

Week 4 : Connection to SMTP server still bad. Streamyx emailed us to gave us a temporary solution. Using their SMTP, we are able to send out emails with attachments. This solution came late but we manage to get things work out.

Week 5 : Connection to SMTP server still bad. Must use SMTP provided by Streamyx.

Week 6 : Connection to SMTP server still bad. Must use SMTP provided by Streamyx.

Week 7 : Connection to SMTP server still bad. Must use SMTP provided by Streamyx.

Week 8 : Connection to SMTP server still bad. Must use SMTP provided by Streamyx. I called to seek for an answer to the previous problem. Some customer service rep says that problem has been fixed; some say it has not been fixed. Another PROBLEM occurred. We couldn’t upload files to our FTP. So I called again to seek for an answer. They don’t know about anything except restarting my connection which it didn’t help. Escalated me to the help center. Emailed them. And she say…..
“With regards to your query on unable to upload anything to your FTP site,
please note that, we would like to advise you to refer with your domain
administrator. Kindly note that the previous e-mail issue only effect your
outgoing e-mail.”

Week 9 : We sign up for a new ISP – Maxis Broadband. Emailing through our own SMTP and uploading to our FTP is good. Though slower than Streamyx which is very understandable, we are only paying one bloody sixth of a Streamyx price. And all these while, Streamyx has never had a proper person to talk to us regarding our problem. Their customer service representative doesn’t know what’s going on. The Help Center, knows jackshit about what’s wrong.

To sum it up, Streamyx is truly unreliable. Being the only one that provides high speed internet, they leave us no choice but to surrender to their ignorance. I’ve heard some good things about AirZed and would definitely like to try them but if only they cover the area I’m in. Which they don’t. Damn it. Anyhow, I’ve reply Streamyx’s email in a way to make sure they understand is their problem. Now they better solve it. Horrible Internet Service Provider. I reckon is more of a management issue than a technical one. Upgrade all you want but find solution not to affect our business you dumb cows. Somebody should shoot those managerial position idiots down.

movie review | Zodiac

“Based on the true story of one of the most intriguing unsolved crimes in the nation’s history, “Zodiac” is a thriller from David Fincher, director of “Se7en” and “Fight Club.” As a serial killer terrifies the San Francisco Bay Area and taunts police with his ciphers and letters, investigators in four jurisdictions search for the murderer. The case will become an obsession for four men as their lives and careers are built and destroyed by the endless trail of clues.” quoted from movie-source.

So how bad can this movie be? David Fincher. The director for Fight Club and Se7en. Right? Right! I don’t really review movies but for this, I have to do it. So here goes.

Warning: Review is based on my personal feelings. It has little or rather nothing to do with the professionalism of the filmmaker of this movie.

The movie started off with a pretty boring pace. In fact, it made the whole atmosphere so distracting where I find it too difficult to get into it. I was losing concentration by the seconds. At that point of time which is right after the first killing scene, I subside to my desires to be lost. I unleashed myself to allow myself feel whatever I’m feeling out from it. Only at this moment, I truly understood the movie.

So is not the thriller that I thought it would be. On the contrary, the movie was a lot more about love. It was probably one of the most heart-warming movie I have ever watched in my entire life. The bare naked truth of things were delivered like it was free. The desperation to cling on from one to the other was finally presented more than just a verbal promise. Only on that night when I watched it, I finally realize what was going on in my mind for the past few weeks. If there was even a slightest doubt throughout that past weeks, it was clarified on that night with the aid of the movie.

During some silent moment, it was as though the silence had a voice itself. Which was perhaps my favorite part of it. The silent voice was extremely hypnotizing for me. I felt as though I was binded and wouldn’t even try to move an inch. Comfortable it seems. I remember that part where I wouldn’t even blink my eye. Looking at such beautiful picture, it felt extremely peaceful. It was awfully peaceful to a point it was getting too dangerous. Ironically, my heart was like a racing horse during such peaceful time. I kept quiet and continue looking at such beautiful sight without a word.

I must say that the ending was pretty much predictable like any other flicks.  So we decided to end the movie early. Watched the last 30 minutes of it in 30 seconds. No big deal. I still enjoy the bloody movie very much. Best 2 hours spent since 1989. Well now, I’m not gonna let you know everything about the movie. You should watch it yourself and perhaps, you share the same view. Or not!?

Here are some tips about watching this movie at its full potential:
1. Body hugging bed
2. Foldable table
3. Unpredictable DVD-ROM from Madbook pro
4. Perfectly fine ‘No Reservation’ DVD
5. Off the light
6. Your personal morphine is a MUST
7. Some cartoon playing somewhere else. Suggest that the cartoon should last as long as Zodiac if not more.
8. Lock the door
9. Last day before you go
10. Throw that chess set away!

Oh well, this should do it. Here’s a disclaimer. This is how I feel entirely during the movie being played at that point of time. It may not be the same for you, but that’s okay. I’m sure you have your own view to it which I’m not bothered to know about it. That’s all for my first movie review. Peace out!
